Visit to Oxford Said Business School

In early October representatives from the China Media Global Summit came to meet the faculty and top students of Said Business School of Oxford University. This group of Chinese media representatives were the first guests to be welcomed to the new building at the Said Business School, showing the scale and importance of this meeting.

Professor Peter Tufano, head of Said Business School, began the event by greeting the Chinese media representatives in a video message. Professor Roy Westbrook, the general manager for the Department of Development and Foreign Relations, Mr Stephan Chambers from the EMBA Programme as well as other leading staff attended the meeting and talked to the guests about Said Business School’s current progress and the fruits of their research.

This included a lecture given by Mr Eric Thun, an expert in the research of Chinese Politics and Economics, in which he used Mandarin to talk to the Chinese Media representatives. Aside from this, the school further arranged for their top Chinese students from the MBA Programme to exchange ideas with the guests regarding Chinese and British Media.

After the meeting, Clare Fisher, Head of Public Relations at Said Business School expressed her hopes for Oxford University and Chinese media representatives to keep in touch and establish strong relationships, to cooperate and develop together in a wider range of areas in the future.
